Hello,

I am a manager of first and second level support teams. There are 7 employees total in both groups and I don't have a supervisor but I have a team lead. Could you please give me your opinion on the differences of tasks which would be assigned to a team lead and supervisor? I appreciate it. In my last position I had a supervisor and a team lead and some of the team leads functions was to help support the supervisor as well as the team.

Thanks,
Jeanette

Hi Jeanette
Happy New Year. This is my opinion based on my experience. Team leader basically ensure daily operation needs be it staff development or handling complaints. A supervisor basically assisting manager; since you don't have Assistant Manager in tracking performance of staff & business. He/She will also assist manger in reporting and analysis. He/She will also be the acting manager when you are out of office.

Cheers
Kym
